The ACCESS Institute is an interdisciplinary, collaborative effort to study hypersonic entry systems to enable space exploration. Through coordinated and synchronized research, our institute creates a space that allows multiple universities to share data, models, and code, so that we can push the frontiers of science together.
Mission tasks
The overall objective of our research is to predict the reliability of entry systems for space exploration. The project is organized into four inter-related tasks:
▷ Hypersonic flow processes
▷ Material and structural processes
▷ Uncertainty quantification
▷ Integrated simulation framework
